Wrapping Paper Project for Kids

For Christmas this year, we had our boys personalize gifts by drawing a picture of a special memory they shared with that person on wrapping paper. For example, my mother always has a new hot wheel for the boys when she sees them, so they drew a hot wheel on her wrapping paper. My mother and father-n-law have a sailboat, so they drew a picture of them sailing saying, "A-hoy," as well as a beach and a pier. We recently visited my sister-n-law in Colorado, so on her gift they drew a picture of us visiting the Rocky Mountains. Everyone absolutely loved the wrapping paper! On several gifts, we decorated the wrapping paper with stickers. It was a very inexpensive project and it came from the heart. Personalized wrapping paper can also be great for Birthdays! Below is a list of items you need to pull off a creative way to wrap presents.

  • White freezer paper or a roll of cheap wrapping paper
  • Markers or Crayons
  • Stickers
  • Glitter
  • Tape

Unroll the freezer paper or wrapping paper (white side up) and tape all four corners to your kitchen table. Let your kids imaginations go wild by letting them create a picture that reminds them of a family member or friend.
